Here’s something you may or may not realize thus far as a business on Facebook: you’ve got to pay to play. With so many businesses competing for space in their target market’s Facebook feeds, it’s no wonder why you’ve got to fight tooth and nail to get consumers engaged with your brand.
Enter Facebook ads…
While Facebook continues to make it harder and harder for business content to show up in news feeds, they also continue to improve their Facebook ad options.
Here are three great types of Facebook Ads you can use as a local business to effectively reach fans and potential customers.
Retargeting Ads
Have you ever noticed that after browsing certain sites, their ads appear on Google or Facebook… like they’re following you? That’s because they are. They are called retargeting ads and they are available through Facebook Custom Audiences.
All you have to do is head to your Facebook Ads dashboard and select custom audiences. Facebook will then give you a tracking pixel to place within the code of your website so that it tracks people who visit your website. From there, you can create that show up in the news feeds of website visitors who check Facebook after visiting your website.
Location Based Ads
If you are a brick and mortar business, Facebook’s location awareness ads are great to use when you are having a sale or hosting a big event. These ads show up on mobile news feeds for people who are within a certain radius of your business.
Offer Claims
Offer claims essentially allow you to run sales and promotions on Facebook. They show up in newsfeeds as coupons that can be claimed. You set the offer, ad an image and give Facebook a timeframe. Those who see the offer are prompted to click the “Claim Offer” button and the offer is sent to their email with instructions on how to claim the offer.
Facebook ads are a great tool to ad to your marketing arsenal. Test them out and reap the benefits!
